Tri-Town Soccer Camps
Coach Jaime has lived in Trumbull for over 30 years and is thrilled to come back “home” to Trumbull to coach. Over the course of the last 15 years, coach Jaime has been fortunate enough to coach many local teams. From the AYSO fields as a proud volunteer coach, to professionally coaching many CJSA travel teams – he has been able to turn his passion for this great game of soccer into an amazing and fulfilling career. Jaime began his soccer career playing for Bullard Haven High School, then went on to play NCAA Division 1 at Sacred Heart University. Since then, he has played for many different teams (Vasco de Gama Portoguese, Bridgeport Blue Dragons, Danbury Portuguese). He has coached for Trumbull United in the past, and led teams to the CT Cup Finals in both Fall and Spring of 2011 as well as 2014. He currently holds the Freshman Girls coaching position at Trumbull High School.

Coach Christy has lived in Monroe for over 15 years and has a passion for teaching football to our youth! As the head coach of the Monroe Lions for many years, Coach Christy has led his youth football teams to 5 State Championships as well as 4 New England Championships! In recent years, he has been the Offensive Coordinator for Harding High School where he helped lead them to their first undefeated season since 1963! Steve is thrilled to return “home” where he now currently serves as the Offensive Coordinator for Masuk High School along with his son Scott Christy who serves as the Defensive Coordinator.
Insports Boys Basketball Camp
John has been coaching for over 20 years at many different levels. He has spent time at Joel Barlow as the head junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach. After his time at Joel Barlow he then spent time at Trumbull High School to be the Freshman coach for 3 years. John currently serves as the Head Coach at Madison Middle School where he is in his 14th season!
Coach Matt played his high school basketball at Spring Valley High School in Spring Valley, NY. There he was a 3-year starter and served as Captain his senior year. Matt graduated with a diploma in Special Education where he currently teaches in the Trumbull public school system. Coach Matt currently serves as the Assistant Varsity coach at Trumbull High School.
Girls Basketball Camp
Coach Lindwall currently serves as the Head Coach of the St. Joseph Girls Varsity team in Trumbull, CT. In addition to over 10 years of high school coaching experience, Coach Lindwall served as a Division 1 coach at Fairfield University. In 2015, he received his 200th win at St. Joseph’s High School where he led his team to the 2014-2015 State Championship!
Jim Olayos has been involved in sports for over thirty years as both a player and a coach. He is presently the Advancement Director of Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, Connecticut. Previous to his work at Notre Dame, he was the Athletic Director at St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, Connecticut. In September, 2000 he was selected as America’s Most Caring Coach by USA Today Weekend Magazine. In 2001 he was the recipient of the Central Connecticut YMCA Strong Kids Award. In 2003 he was voted one of the top 100 most influential people in Connecticut High School Sports. His sports/educational program has been featured in the New York Times and he has lectured and presented his program for the Frank McGuire Foundation, The After School Corporation (TASC), the National Alliance For Youth Sports (NAYS) and Youth Basketball of America (YBOA). His program has been featured in both the New York Times and USA Today.
Jim is a graduate of Fairfield University and Quinnipiac School of Law. During those years he was also the head coach for Masuk High School in Monroe, receiving the New York Daily News Coach of the Year Award. After graduating law school, he also served as an assistant coach at the University of Bridgeport under New England’s all-time winningest basketball coach, Bruce Webster. He has been an assistant coach at St. Joseph High School under the State of Connecticut’s all-time winningest coach, Vito Montelli, and assisted in the McDonald’s All American game in Indianapolis in 1991, where he coached NBA All Star, Grant Hill.
Since retiring from his law practice of twenty years he has devoted himself to the Future Stars Children’s Foundation of which he serves as Executive Director. Through his involvement with Future Stars and as Director of Athletic Development at Notre Dame High School, Fairfield, CT Jim is able to share his sports knowledge along with his concern for children.
Jim and his wife Kim have four sons and reside in Shelton, Connecticut.
Baseball Skills Academy
Coach Renzoni graduated from Central Connecticut State University where he received his degree in Physical Education. He has a passion for teaching baseball to our youth and currently serves as the Head Coach for the Trumbull Travel 11-U Gold Team as well as Head Coach of the Masuk High School freshman team.
Maureen Spellman is is in her fourth season as head coach of the Southern Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse program in 2016-17 after one year on the Owls’ sidelines as an assistant coach. In that time, she has led the program to its most successful five-year stretch in school history.
The Owls finished the 2015 season by matching a program single-season record for victories. SCSU was highly competitive, losing eight contests by a combined total of 14 goals. Two Owls were named to the NE-10 All-Rookie Team, with two earning academic honors from the IWLCA for their work in the classroom.
Spellman joined the Owls after a decorated four-year career as a goalie for the University of New Haven. The Chargers’ all-time saves leader, she was a two-time All-Region and All-Northeast-10 Conference pick during her time at UNH.
Additionally, Spellman earned WomensLacrosse.com Division II All-Rookie Team honors along with Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year laurels in her rookie season.
She ranked among the NCAA leaders in goals against average as a freshman and senior and in save percentage as a junior and senior. Spellman also ranked among the NCAA leaders in saves as a junior.
Also a coach at the Skyhawks Sports Academy and active with the Connecticut Special Olympics, she holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Haven.
Competitive Edge Field Hockey
Kati attended Uconn where she earned her degree in biology and played varsity field hockey all four years. During her time at UConn, the Huskies won four Big East regular season championships, three Big East tournament championships, and made three NCAA tournament appearances. Kati has served as an assistant coach at Western Connecticut State University, holds a Level II umpire certification, and is currently the Varisty Coach at Lauralton Hall in Milford. In her two years as head coach, Kati has led her team to the state finals and semi-finals in both season. In addition to her life on the field, Kati is a certified personal trainer at Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport, Connecticut.
