After a summer 2013 renovation and substantial expansion, including the additions of an entirely new full-length turf field with a of top-of-the-line Momentum 41 playing surface, new Action Thrust maple hardwood courts and Fairfield County’s only dasher-board arena for true Canadian box lacrosse, the 108,000 square foot InSports has become one of New England’s finest multi-sport indoor recreation centers.
Players will have access to a 100-yard turf field with in-laid lines accommodating soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball and rugby, among other games. Basketball and volleyball players will take advantage of the three recently refinished hardwood court surfaces with drop-down basketball hoops and in-ground volleyball systems. And lacrosse players have the exciting opportunity to play in Connecticut’s only dedicated, true box lacrosse arena with dasher-boards, full height glass and a new turf surface.
Athletes will also benefit from new field and building lighting, which, beyond harnessing the latest environmentally conscious technologies, is intentionally designed to improve on-field visibility and the quality of play. Similarly, enhanced air quality systems and a new energy efficient building insulation wrap system will contribute to the upgraded playing environment.
But guests won’t have to be competing to take advantage of Insport’s tremendous facility. Spectators can cheer on the action and parents can keep an eye on their kids from new mezzanine seating while enjoying Insports expanded concessions or brand new restaurant. And with the addition of many TV screens, athletes can sit back and watch a game after they’ve played their own games.
By updating the venue’s athletic facilities and its food, lounge and viewing amenities to the same exceptionally high caliber and with the same comprehensive attention to detail, Insports’ management team has ensured that every guest will be equally satisfied—whether they are playing on the field, cheering from the sidelines, or enjoying a great meal.
