Summer Camp

Insports creates a summer camp experience unlike any other!

We pride ourselves on providing our campers a safe, supportive and fun environment led by positive role models and dedicated counselors and coaches. For over almost 10 yearscampers have loved spending the summer with us as they make friends, learn new skills, build self-confidence and create lifelong memories.  Insports has endless opportunities for your child this summer!

Our 110,000 square foot indoor space and 10,000 square foot outdoor space is the ultimate summer playground for your child as they enjoy time spent on our turf fields and courts while also making great memories on our giant inflatable water slide and massive GaGa Pit!

Counselor In Training (CIT) Program:

The purpose of this program is to introduce kids to the workplace while preparing those who have a vested interest in becoming future Camp Counselors!  Candidates must have a love and passion of working with youth and act in a leadership role to set a positive example among the campers.  CITs will assist in several impactful ways during the camp day.  CITs will be demonstrating hand-on experience working in camp groups assisting in daily operations such as camp set ups and clean ups, camper attendance, and lunch/snack operations.  This is a unique opportunity to set a strong example to our youth and to grow and realize their potential as upcoming employees and counselors!

*Traditional, Ultimate Sports & Wildcat Camps Only!

Camp Dates: Weekly, June 19-August 25

Ages: Boys and Girls Ages 14-15

Fees: 50% of regular camp fee

Qualifications:

CITs must attend all Insports training

Must be able to work AT LEAST 2 weeks throughout the summer

Must fill out an application NO LATER than May 1, 2023.

Applicants will receive a call for an interview once the application is completed. 

Please note that not everyone interviewed for the program will be accepted.

About the Staff:

Camp Director – Zach Davidson

Zach is originally from Milford, CT.  He attended Jonathan Law High School where he played basketball and baseball.  He continues to play both sports today.  After high school, he received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Southern Connecticut State University.  After completing his undergraduate, he went on to receive his Master’s in Sports Management from Liberty University.  He has been working at Insports for over three years now as the Youth and Family Programs Manager.  He loves being able to work with children and sports.  He also coaches baseball and girls basketball at Christian Heritage School in Trumbull, CT.

Extended Care:

Our regular camp day begins at 9am and ends at 4pm.  Parents who need care before or after these times have these extended day options:

  • 8am – 9am: $20 per day ($90/week)
  • 7am – 9am: $30 per day ($125/week)
  • 4pm – 5pm: $20 per day ($90/week)
  • 4pm – 6pm: $30 per day ($125/week)
  • Late parent/guardians should notify Insports via phone.  Any child picked up after camp hours (6pm) will be charged a dollar per minute.

Loyalty Discount Program

The more weeks you sign up for, the more money you save with our Loyalty Discount Program.  This means you’ll pay the regular price for your first week of camp, but by the time you attend your second, you’ll start benefitting from the discount!  Each additional week of camp you sign up for you will save 10%!

Early Bird Discount

Save money and secure a spot by registering early!  Register on or before March 31st for a FULL WEEK of any camp (FULL WEEK = Monday thru Friday of the same week) in order to qualify for our Early Bird Discount, which will entitle you to receive a discount of 10%, per week.

Sibling Discount

Looking to sign up more than one child? Receive $35.00 off each additional child who signs up for a week of summer camp. The more kids you sign up the more money you save!

Joe DeFilippo

Executive Director of Baseball Operations, Coach

Joe has done it all in his 40+ years in baseball as a player, coach/instructor, scout/ talent evaluator, and umpire.

Following a highly decorated career as a middle infielder, Joe immediately began teaching and coaching young players the game he loves, in Alabama, Texas and Connecticut. In addition, Joe has 20+ years experience as an umpire in youth, high school, and college baseball. He has also been involved in the scouting end of baseball as a talent evaluator at showcases/combines for prospective college and professional players.

Coach Joe has also been involved in coaching youth basketball, and football at both the youth and high school level.

Previously the organization founder & co-owner of the Connecticut RiverDogs, Coach Joe’s teams and players have won innumerable league and tournament championships.

RICH LICURSI

Executive Operations and Player Development, Coach

1st Team All American and Highest decorated player in Sacred Heart University baseball history; Coach Rich was player of the year in 1990 and earned a spot in the Cape Cod league for the Brewster Whitecaps. In high School Coach Rich was decorated with all state honors, All FCIAC, 1 State Championship at THS (1986), and selected to the All Daily News Baseball Team in 1987.  Coach Licursi is the All-Time record holder at SHU in career and season strikeouts, career and season wins, complete games career and season, total innings career and season, and total career appearances.  Coach Rich enjoyed a 5-year professional career with the LA Dodgers and Boston Red Sox organizations as well as independent baseball.  Coach Licursi has been in child development or over 30 years ranging from Director of the Westport/Weston YMCA to Board of Directors for in town sports.  When asking Coach Rich what his biggest accomplishment is, he states that he takes great pride in his students and players he works with, and the response from the community has been amazing.  Coaching now for over 30 years in youth sports ranging from Baseball, Football and Basketball, coach Rich will always be here for the kids and with a focus on personal and team growth.  Previously the organization owner & creator of the CT Dodgers, Coach Rich produced many championship teams over the past 7 years and signed over 30 ballplayers to college opportunities and scholarships.  A master in the art of pitching, Coach Rich is considered one of the best available to work with.
