Insports has 3 brand new state-of-the-art MAPLE ACTIONTHRUST HardWood basketball courts. Contact Insports to rent courts for practices, games and tournaments. Above the courts are brand new LED lights. Insports offers League Play and Open Play for both youth and adults.

DTX AAU Basketball

Come and try-out for Fairfield County’s PREMIER AAU BASKETBALL team run by world renowned Coach Dave Taylor!  DTX is all about player development!  The purpose is to teach and develop players so they can reach their potential on and off the court!

Fall Season Registration NOW OPEN! 

– There will be two 90-minute practices per week

– We will participate in HIGH-LEVEL tournaments located at Insports, as well as other local tournaments

– Games will be filmed and players will be provided with film evaluation

– Fall season will run from September 14th – November 6th

DTX Basketball Skill Sessions

DTX Basketball Skill Sessions are held Saturday mornings from 7:00–8:30 AM and are designed to help players sharpen their game through focused skill work and high-energy drills. Athletes will work on all the fundamentals—ball handling, shooting, footwork, defense, and more—in a structured and competitive environment. Whether you’re preparing for the season or just looking to improve, these sessions are built to elevate your game!

Grades: 4-12

Dates: January 2, 2027 – March 27, 2027

Days: Saturday

Time: 7am-8:30am

Cost: $60 per day

Trumbull Travel Basketball

Come try out for Trumbull Travel Basketball! Insports is proud to host all practices and home games for the 2026–27 season. Players will be evaluated during tryouts and placed on appropriate teams based on coach assessments. Please note that team placement is not guaranteed and is based on skill level and roster availability.

Trumbull Travel Season: November 2nd, 2026 – February 24th, 2027

8 Week Fall Clinic

Come join Trumbull High School Varsity Head Coach Steve Tobitsch for an exciting 8 week girls basketball clinic! This clinic will focus on all aspects of the game; ball handling, passing, speed & agility, offensive and defensive techniques, shooting, and more!

Grades: 3-8

This coed clinic will include instruction, game play, educational disciplines, FUN and Future Stars “Lessons of Life” program.

Joe DeFilippo

Executive Director of Baseball Operations, Coach

Joe has done it all in his 40+ years in baseball as a player, coach/instructor, scout/ talent evaluator, and umpire.

Following a highly decorated career as a middle infielder, Joe immediately began teaching and coaching young players the game he loves, in Alabama, Texas and Connecticut. In addition, Joe has 20+ years experience as an umpire in youth, high school, and college baseball. He has also been involved in the scouting end of baseball as a talent evaluator at showcases/combines for prospective college and professional players.

Coach Joe has also been involved in coaching youth basketball, and football at both the youth and high school level.

Previously the organization founder & co-owner of the Connecticut RiverDogs, Coach Joe’s teams and players have won innumerable league and tournament championships.

RICH LICURSI

Executive Operations and Player Development, Coach

1st Team All American and Highest decorated player in Sacred Heart University baseball history; Coach Rich was player of the year in 1990 and earned a spot in the Cape Cod league for the Brewster Whitecaps. In high School Coach Rich was decorated with all state honors, All FCIAC, 1 State Championship at THS (1986), and selected to the All Daily News Baseball Team in 1987.  Coach Licursi is the All-Time record holder at SHU in career and season strikeouts, career and season wins, complete games career and season, total innings career and season, and total career appearances.  Coach Rich enjoyed a 5-year professional career with the LA Dodgers and Boston Red Sox organizations as well as independent baseball.  Coach Licursi has been in child development or over 30 years ranging from Director of the Westport/Weston YMCA to Board of Directors for in town sports.  When asking Coach Rich what his biggest accomplishment is, he states that he takes great pride in his students and players he works with, and the response from the community has been amazing.  Coaching now for over 30 years in youth sports ranging from Baseball, Football and Basketball, coach Rich will always be here for the kids and with a focus on personal and team growth.  Previously the organization owner & creator of the CT Dodgers, Coach Rich produced many championship teams over the past 7 years and signed over 30 ballplayers to college opportunities and scholarships.  A master in the art of pitching, Coach Rich is considered one of the best available to work with.
