Insports has 3 brand new, state-of-the-art MAPLE ACTION THRUST Hard Wood volleyball courts. Above the courts are brand new LED lights. To prohibit interference between the courts, Insports uses the divider curtain to separate each court.

Insports offers Rentals for practices and tournaments for all groups and school teams.

Mini Stars Volleyball is the perfect introduction to volleyball for kids ages 5-8! This fun and engaging class focuses on building fundamental skills like passing, setting, and serving in a supportive and age-appropriate environment. Whether your child is brand new to the game or just starting out, Mini Stars helps them grow in confidence, coordination, and teamwork.

Mini Stars is a great option for athletes who:

Ages: Ages 5-8

Where: All practices and tournaments are held at Insports

Cost: $175 per participant per session, T-Shirt included.

Mini Club is open to all girls ages 9-14 looking to learn volleyball and help prepare them for the next level! We teach all fundamentals and skills and help players incorporate them into matches.  Players practice one time per week and participate in (2) in-house tournaments for live game-play action!

Mini Club is a great option for athletes who:

  • Are learning the game of volleyball
  • Want to improve their skills and knowledge of the game
  • Want to continue playing at the next level (high school and/or club)
  • Want to have fun and make new friends!

Ages: Ages 9-14

Where: All practices and tournaments are held at Insports

Cost: $335 per participant per session ($40 T Shirt Add on Required)

Day & Time: Wednesdays from 4-5pm

Session Dates: 

  • Session 1: September 9th –November 4th, 2026
  • Session 2: November 11th, 2026 – January 6th, 2027

NEW THIS FALL…

Mini Club Select- All athletes aged 9-14 who have participated in two or more Mini Club Sessions are eligible to move up to the Mini Club Select Court! Coaches will evaluate and move athletes between courts the first and second practice of the session to solidify placement.

They will still practice once a week and play in two tournaments. The Mini Club Select will have one of their tournament days against teams outside of the Mini Club program.

Mini Club Select is a great option for athetes who:

  • Have done 2 or more Mini Club sessions in the past
  • Are familiar with the sport fundamentals and basic techniques
  • Are eager to learn more, and continue playing playing at the next level (high school and/or club)

NOVA Boys Slam at Insports is open to boys ages 9-14 who are looking to learn the game and develop their skills. NOVA Regional Volleyball at Insports offers advanced training and competition opportunities for athletes in grades 7–12 who are ready to take their game to the next level. Players will participate in structured practices focused on technical skills, teamwork, and tournament play in a fun and competitive environment.

NOVA Regional is a great option for athletes who:

  • Have prior volleyball experience and want to continue developing their skills

  • Are interested in higher-level training and competition opportunities

  • Want to play alongside peers with similar goals and commitment

Season Details-

Grades: 7th-12th Graders

Where: All practices are held at Insports.  2 Practices per week.

Season Length: 18 weeks (December 8th, 2026 – April 22nd, 2027)

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, Times vary – see schedule when registering. (BYE DATES: 12/22,24,29,31/2026)

Tournaments: Minimum of 2 tournaments included

Program Cost: $2,495 (payment plan available)

Joe DeFilippo

Executive Director of Baseball Operations, Coach

Joe has done it all in his 40+ years in baseball as a player, coach/instructor, scout/ talent evaluator, and umpire.

Following a highly decorated career as a middle infielder, Joe immediately began teaching and coaching young players the game he loves, in Alabama, Texas and Connecticut. In addition, Joe has 20+ years experience as an umpire in youth, high school, and college baseball. He has also been involved in the scouting end of baseball as a talent evaluator at showcases/combines for prospective college and professional players.

Coach Joe has also been involved in coaching youth basketball, and football at both the youth and high school level.

Previously the organization founder & co-owner of the Connecticut RiverDogs, Coach Joe’s teams and players have won innumerable league and tournament championships.

RICH LICURSI

Executive Operations and Player Development, Coach

1st Team All American and Highest decorated player in Sacred Heart University baseball history; Coach Rich was player of the year in 1990 and earned a spot in the Cape Cod league for the Brewster Whitecaps. In high School Coach Rich was decorated with all state honors, All FCIAC, 1 State Championship at THS (1986), and selected to the All Daily News Baseball Team in 1987.  Coach Licursi is the All-Time record holder at SHU in career and season strikeouts, career and season wins, complete games career and season, total innings career and season, and total career appearances.  Coach Rich enjoyed a 5-year professional career with the LA Dodgers and Boston Red Sox organizations as well as independent baseball.  Coach Licursi has been in child development or over 30 years ranging from Director of the Westport/Weston YMCA to Board of Directors for in town sports.  When asking Coach Rich what his biggest accomplishment is, he states that he takes great pride in his students and players he works with, and the response from the community has been amazing.  Coaching now for over 30 years in youth sports ranging from Baseball, Football and Basketball, coach Rich will always be here for the kids and with a focus on personal and team growth.  Previously the organization owner & creator of the CT Dodgers, Coach Rich produced many championship teams over the past 7 years and signed over 30 ballplayers to college opportunities and scholarships.  A master in the art of pitching, Coach Rich is considered one of the best available to work with.
